Architect Luc De Beir from Knokke-Heist, Belgium, has ingeniously reinvented the traditional thatched roof, giving it a modern, contemporary twist. This project, an imposing villa nestled in the lush greenery of Bruges, serves multiple purposes: a residence, an office, and a showroom. The homeowner required a space that could seamlessly blend living and professional environments, and this design achieves just that.

Architecture, a balance between revealing and hiding.

Luc De Beir + Architecten

This philosophy, central to Luc De Beir's work, is evident throughout the villa. His exquisite use of our Sentido keypad in a bronze finish is perfectly paired with dark-stained veneer oak and natural stone, creating a subtle and harmonious aesthetic.

In the bathroom, Sentido in white beautifully complements the warm white painting technique and the travertine of the lavabo table. This combination adds a refined touch, harmonizing with the overall aesthetic of the villa.

This impressive villa not only functions as a luxurious home but also as an efficient office and showroom. The dual-purpose design is a testament to Luc De Beir's ability to merge functionality with elegance, creating spaces that are both practical and beautiful. By reinventing traditional elements and integrating modern touches, the spaces perfectly balance revealing and hiding, blending seamlessly into the serene surroundings of Bruges.
